CLINICAL CONTROLS

Controls are available in both positive and negative formats, and are used to demonstrate the results of urine based drug tests. A negative control will yield expected negatives on each panel, and the positive control will yield all positive results.

The Q.E.D. A150 Ethanol control is used as a performance control in the determination of alcohol in the saliva. The control contains an aqueous solution of ethanol with preservatives, and has an expected range of .075 to .130%.

Many of the iProducts that we provide already include a range of controls and reagents, such as our iStrep™ A tests, and our iScreen™ H. pylori tests. These controls come free of charge in the kits, and offer a specific functionality per device. To get more information, check the package insert for the product requested.
